We collect and process the following information to facilitate your school portal usage:

• Account Details: Name, email address, username, password, role (admin, teacher, parent, student), and contact information provided by your school administrator.
• Academic Data: Student grades, attendance reports, homework submissions, timetables, and class allocations.
• Financial Info: Fee allocations, receipts, and history. Payments are processed securely via external web-based payment gateways; we do not store raw credit card details on our servers.
• Device Tokens: We collect Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens from Android devices to deliver real-time push notifications.

2. Device Permissions

Our Android Application requests access to the following features to enable specific portal functionalities:

• Camera: Used to capture and upload profile pictures, student photos, or homework submission attachments.
• Storage/Media: Used to download school documents (such as fee receipts, syllabus details, reports) and upload documents or homework files.
• Notifications: Used to send push notifications for notices, circulars, fee updates, and reminders.

3. Use of Information

Your information is used solely to provide school services:

• To display student homework and allow file submissions.
• To track and display school fee history and facilitate payments.
• To send immediate updates and notifications regarding notices, attendance, and exam marks.
• To secure your account and prevent unauthorized access.

4. Data Security

We use secure industry-standard measures to safeguard your data. All communication between the VidyaByte mobile application and the servers is encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL/TLS) HTTPS-only protocol. Access to database systems is strictly controlled and limited to authorized administration personnel.

5. Third-Party Services

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), a service provided by Google, to deliver push notification alerts to your mobile device. Firebase operates under its own privacy policies regarding data handling.
